On Sunday, January 28, 2024, Ikuno, the head of our Higashihiroshima Satellite office, delivered a 90-minute lecture titled “Regional Revitalization and Disaster Management in the Digital Age.”
The audience comprised approximately 25 members of the Fukutomi Company, part of the Higashihiroshima City Fire Brigade. The presentation content was developed by Ikuno and Osada (Data Scientist), and Shindo (Representative), while Kawashima (Designer) was responsible for the slide design.
In this lecture, we discussed self-help during disasters, life hacks for enhancing daily disaster preparedness, public and mutual assistance within local communities illustrated by examples of misinformation spread on social media, and the utilization of digital devices.
Moving forward, using Higashihiroshima City’s Fukutomi district as a model case, we will continue to promote highly versatile disaster prevention DX (Digital Transformation ) initiatives. We will also share our expertise to enhance disaster preparedness awareness among local residents.
