Hiroyuki Nobuto, CEO of Alt Design Office, Contributes Essay to the Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF)

The Japan-Thailand Business Forum (JTBF) is an organization established in 2002 to deepen economic and cultural ties between Japan and Thailand. Since its founding, JTBF has played a key role in fostering friendship and business cooperation between the two countries. It serves as a platform to support Japanese companies entering the Thai market and Thai companies exploring business opportunities in Japan. [Official Website]

Message from Nobuto:

As a member of JTBF’s Public Relations Committee, I recently contributed a relay essay reflecting on my personal and professional journey in Thailand. In the essay, I share episodes from my first visit to Phuket in 2004, my involvement in post-tsunami recovery efforts in the region, and the invaluable insights I gained while working at the Japan Foundation in Bangkok.

Currently, I’m focused on supporting Japanese companies expanding into the Thai market—particularly through branding and localization strategies. One of our key initiatives involves hands-on collaboration with Thai university students, aiming to create value for both the business and education sectors. Our goal is to help Japanese businesses establish a meaningful presence in Thailand.

Through my involvement with JTBF, I’ve come to realize the importance of not only sharing past experiences, but also creating new value for the next generation. I remain committed to unlocking the full potential of Japan–Thailand collaboration and strengthening our partnership even further.
