Designing the “spark” that moves people to action.
Alt Design Office was founded in Bangkok in 2018.
What we strive for is to use the power of design to inspire people to take action.
For example:
- When a website makes you want to reach out and inquire.
- When a company you encounter at an exhibition makes you want to learn more.
- When a social media post sparks interest in a product or service.
How can we create those moments that motivate people to move?
Designing and realizing those moments is what we do.
I have spent more than 20 years as a university researcher in Japan and Thailand, studying human behavior and decision-making processes.
In parallel, I served as a staff member at the Japan Foundation Bangkok, where I was involved in large-scale event planning and coordination, as well as other government-related projects.
At universities, I have also been engaged in the planning and management of academic conferences, creating spaces where researchers and practitioners can come together and engage in meaningful dialogue.
Observing how people gather, interact, and build relationships—both from a research and a practical perspective—has become the foundation of my work today.
Currently, we operate from both Bangkok and Tokyo, working with a wide range of clients, from startups to public institutions.
Our work spans web production, support for companies expanding into Thailand, brand development, and the design and operation of exhibition booths.
It also extends to supporting projects that communicate social themes such as sustainability, DX, and decarbonization.
What all of these efforts share is a careful consideration of “who” we are communicating with, “what” we want to convey, and “how” to deliver it effectively.
By refining this process, we create designs that go beyond appearance and achieve real impact.
We do not see design as mere decoration.
Instead, we focus on how companies can effectively communicate their value and encourage meaningful action and decision-making.
Designing the intent and meaning behind the form—this is what we believe gives design its true power.
We aim to deliver the greatest possible results at a fair and appropriate cost,
and to remain a reliable partner who can be counted on when it truly matters.
That is what we mean by “honest and sincere creativity.”
Moving forward, we will continue to leverage the power of design and technology, together with insights gained from both research and practice,
to create the “triggers” that help people and society move forward.
